Humanae
Humanae is a project by the Spanish artist Angelica Dass.
She wants to achieve the public’s direct involvement in photography as a whole concept. Her projects deepen import issues such as social, cultural and racial identity.
Humanae is a chromatic inventory that reflects on the colors beyond the borders of codes by referring to the pantone color scheme.
A serie of portraits with backgrounds dyed in the exact pantone tone extracted from a sample of 11×11 pixels of the portrayed’s face. The aim of this ongoing project is to create a catalog of all possible human skin tones.
