Botanical Layers

Botanical Layers is the creative brainchild of Masha Reva and Syndicate of Kiev.
Masha Reva is a young experimental fashion designer that just finished her internship with the Belgian king of experimental fashion, Walter Van Beirendonck himself.

Masha teamed up with Syndicate, a new Ukrainian brand which is inspired by a combination of American heritage and the simplicity of Scandinavian aesthetics. All clothing and accessories are limited editions and are produced by traditional handicraft methods in their own workshop.

Botanical layers is a limited edition sweat shirt collection. The prints are inspired by the rapid pace of contemporary life, gadgets and social networks with a yearning for a natural environment, explored as a metaphorical botanical garden of Photoshop layers and loading bars.

A floral collection with a subtle hint to the world of digitalism. I especially love the use of transparent grid, it’s very recognizable but also extremely clever to actually use it as a part of the design.
