Digital printing precision

RICHARDS is the label of designer Sarah Leslie Richards. She debuted with a S/S 13 collection digitally printed on silk garments. Clean and classic cuts act as a natural canvas for captivating prints.

While the S/S 13 collecting was very promising, she’s taking the F/W 13 collection to an even higher level. The green organic prints alternate with grayish architecture and statue inspired prints. The technology of digital printing perfectly meets the need of detailing Richards uses in her prints. The frog on the model’s shirt almost seems real, how cool is that?
Richards designs each print at her Brooklyn studio, while the garments are locally manufactured in New York City.

It’s always interesting to see designers searching the boundaries of new technologies. Especially when the result is as impeccable as the work of Richards. Too bad there aren’t any sales points in Europe yet.
