Imagined Landscape

Calico Wallpaper collaborated with four artists who translated their exploration of process and materials on a series of wall murals. 

Calico Wallpaper moves art beyond the frame into everyday interior spaces.
At the Salone del Mobile, Calico presents a collaboration with BCXSY, Ana Kraš, Snarkitecture, and Faye Toogood, who developed a series of unique wall pieces, crafting a material language by hand to be transformed into large scale wall papers.

London-based furniture designer Faye Toogood scaled three original paintings, Woodlands, Fields, Moors, in a concept that turns an entire room into a painted landscape.
Snarkitecture’s Topographies, transforms a three-dimensional exercise into a handmade, two-dimensional wall covering.
Ana Kraš shows a collection of simplicity and sense of spatial depth by playing with gradual color shifts within a line in Mira & Miloš.
Microcosmos by BCXSY is a virtually endless variation of compositions and color expressions,  originating from enlarged images of bubbles, which appear like the incredible universes seen through the lenses of a microscope.
